chit chat - changes, worries and random loves!

February 22, 2015

Well hello there!

I feel as if I've been a bit cheeky recently and put a lot of chatty posts up! Oops! I'm a very chatty person and sometimes can't come up with anything hugely useful to say about a new bag that's been released.

I really feel the need to ask: what don't you like about this blog? The reason I ask is because, recently I've lost perhaps 8 followers on bloglovin' in the space of a week or so. Now, I am fully aware you don't blog for followers and I am hugely grateful that I still have 269 followers - that's amazing to me! But as you can imagine, it is quite upsetting when you are putting a lot of hard work into your blog and people start unfollowing.

I REALLY want my content to be at it's best for you guys, so my new strategy is to TRY to have a planning/photo taking day once a week.

I can't believe it's almost March! My birthday falls in March (15/03) and so does Haia Eve's 1st birthday (22/03)! :) I'm still thinking of how to celebrate this blog's 1st birthday - I want to do something fun, perhaps a special post, a new schedule through the month or something else (ideas would be appreciated!)

I thought I'd talk about some of my 'random loves'.

First is of course: Broadchurch! I am soooo excited for tomorrow's episode to find out if he's guilty or not. What do you think?

I've been loving the Options Belgain chocolate brownie hot chocolate and REALLY want to try the Options mint choc flavour as I've heard that it tastes like an After Eight mint! Yum!

I am SO behind with PLL (Pretty Little Liars) I have missed 3 episodes and am desperate to catch up! It sounds like lots has unfolded in the last episodes! Do any of you watch PLL?

I've been doing some reading before bed recently instead of spending hours on my phone. Now, I don't want to be like everyone else, but I've been reading Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and honestly, I'm enjoying it. I will definitely do a review if you wish!

My final love at the moment is walking. Odd I know! I've just been enjoying going for a walk, even if it's just a stroll into town! I did speak about walking in my last F4F: HERE if you'd like to read about the benefits etc.

Well, that concludes today's post!
I will try to get some good posts up this week for you!

Have a brilliant, positive week.

F4F#29 - WALK this way

February 20, 2015

How is it Friday already? Crazy!

Today's post is all about the benefits of adding walking into your daily routine.

Walking is a brilliant form of exercise.
It's amazing because it can of course help you in your weight loss, but also it strengthens your heart and lowers the risk of you developing diseases.

Walking is a fabulous way to tone those legs, bums and tums (oh and also the arms!)

And like most exercises, walking releases those good endorphins and leaves you feeling happy.

The great thing about walking is: it's so simple. It's completely free and can be easily incorporated into your daily routine, no matter how busy your day is.
Therefore, you're no longer allowed to complain about how hard it is for you to exercise as it takes too much effort to go to the gym or for a run. Walking is so simple and effective.

A 30 minutes of brisk walking every day, 5 days a week is a great way to keep active.

Olympia Valance

February 19, 2015

Hello everyone! I must apologise that there was no post yesterday! I will instead be posting today.
If you haven't already guessed today's fashion/style post is all about OLYMPIA VALANCE.

A little about Olympia:

Olympia is an Australian actress currently starring in Neighbours as character Paige. She is the younger sister of Holly Valance (or Candy).

I must admit I love to watch Olympia as Paige on Neighbours. Not only is she an amazing actress, but she's also very stylish (on screen and off). By looking at the photos I've included in this post I'm sure a lot of you can see just how pretty Olympia is.

Olympia has a very healthy looking figure. She ensures that she dresses her slender figure correctly and in a flattering manner.

As you can see from the two outfits below Olympia does like a maxi dress/skirt. The maxi style makes her look tall and slim.

I love the simplicity of her first outfit. The basic, but pretty design of her white dress looks amazing on her.

In her second outfit, Olympia wears too eye catching colours which actually work very well together. The gap between where her top cuts off and her skirt begins shows off her flat, toned stomach.

As you can tell, Olympia is one stylish lady!

Remember you can watch Olympia on Neighbours: UK: Weekdays, Channel 5. AU: Weekdays, Channel 11.

Eve xx

Chat - Appreciating Things.

February 15, 2015

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I wanted to do another chatty post. Today's is about appreciation.

Yesterday I was having a bad day. Everything seemed to be pretty awful and boring. I felt as if I was missing out and was dwelling on the loss of friends and on the fact I didn't feel too great about myself.

Fast forward to today where I feel absolutely brilliant. Today I felt very lucky to get to experience small, but hugely important moments. It made me realise that; man, I'm lucky.

The thing is, bad things do happen. Some days feel absolutely awful. But, there are so many amazing things and people we do have in our lives and we should really remember that.

I am a big people person. If someone is really important to be I appreciate every minute we spend together, whether that just be having a quick chat.

I'm some times there in the moment thinking 'wow! this is amazing. I am so lucky to be here' and I really am.

google :)

I think we should all appreciate people and show them how much they mean. Sometimes it's difficult to show appreciation, perhaps sometimes you don't quite get the chance, but when the opportunity comes in whatever way, express your 'thank you'.

Have a great week.

Love,
Eve xx

F4F#28 - Getting Back Into It!

February 14, 2015

Hello everyone!

I firstly would like to apologise to those who noticed there was no F4F last week. I was ill and didn't really feel like doing anything but staying bed or lying on the sofa watching TV.

I must admit that when it comes to staying healthy, I've been slacking recently. I haven't had as much motivation to get down the gym or to eat healthy (ish). I have been really indulging in the bread, cakes, ice cream etc. but, what I've realised is that's okay. It's normal to "over treat" yourself (by this I mean numerous treats throughout the day) sometimes. I mean, I have to treat with something everyday! Haha! Anyway, to the point of this post: getting back into a healthy routine.

google images

When you feel like you've really fallen off the band wagon, you can get back on. My main tips are:

1. Identify your weakness- you need to work out where you're going wrong.
2. Make small changes- don't make major changes too quick to your routine (diet/exercise) slowly get into a good routine
3. Don't be too hard on yourself- don't feel guilty if you're not always sticking to your diet or if you miss a few gym sessions.

Tips with being healthy:
1. Try planning what you're going to eat - having a plan will mean you have all the correct foods in the house
2. Stay hydrated - water is so good for you and drinking can keep you fuller for longer

Tips when exercising:
1. Remember: doing 10 minuites of light exercise is better than doing nothing
2. You'll feel better after
3. Play some motivational music
4. Have fun - there are so many types of exercise, find your type

Hope this post was helpful!
Have a great weekend!!

Love,
Eve xx

T SWIFT AT THE GRAMMYS

February 11, 2015

GOOGLE IMAGES
T Swift looked amazing at this year's Grammy Awards. Does anyone agree?

Taylor sported an amazingly unique blue/turquoise dress with purple heels. I find that her dress is incredibly figure flattering and show stealing. The simple accessory of her aqua coloured earrings really brings the whole outfit together.

I think what I love most about her look is that it isn't too "BAM"and in your face, there's no overpowering sparkles and bling going on. There's no massive statement jewellery pieces and her lovely hair is styled in a simple, straight way.

Who stole the show for you in the Grammy Awards 2015?

WATER: the secret miracle worker (for your skin & hair)

February 08, 2015

...but, it's not really a secret anymore.

I cannot express to you how important drinking water is. I'm sure you've already heard bloggers and youtubers blabbering on about the numerous benefits drinking it will bring, and it's true.

I have never really loved drinking water. Honestly, I've found drinking it a bit boring and 'Plain Jane', I always anchored towards something with a little more flavour that would get my taste buds going.

I will say, I'd much prefer a cup of tea (normal black tea WITH MILK) than to drink litres of water, but I myself must admit water doesn't taste half as boring as I once made out, actually it's very refreshing and makes me feel 'clean'.

For all of you who weren't aware, water is amazing for your skin. If you're dehydrated your skin will be more dry and has more chance of gaining wrinkles. Water helps to remove those nasty toxins from your body and removes the impurities from your skin.
Now remember, your skin is made out of cells, these cells are made up of water, without water the cells won't function at their best.
Thus, drink water for more visibly clearer, clean and healthy looking skin.

Water also has big benefits on your hair. It supports vitamin consumption and assists healthy hair growth. Drinking water means that your hair will be and feel stronger. It's so very important to drink water to keep your hair hydrated.

If you're still not convinced and don't think it's worth it. Perhaps add some fruit to your water or some sugar free squash?

I may do a F4F on Water and the benefits it has on the body.

Happy Sunday!

Yumi Dress WISH LIST!

February 04, 2015

Hi everyone!

I do hope that you've all had a lovely day and are having a good week. My day has been lovely, but I am now feeling slightly exhausted!

Today I thought I'd do a wish list, but more specifically a dress wish list, but more specifically a Yumi dress wish list! If you've read my blog for quite some time you'll know I love the brand/design Yumi. I adore the pieces available and must admit I have a few of them in my wardrobe!
I was browsing the website today and found some dresses that I absolutely fell in love with, so I thought I'd share!

All items can be found: here!

I want them all!

I love each and every one of their different styles, patterns and shape. They are all so very unique. They are all terribly pretty.

  • The first is simple, but very pretty.
  • The second is girly, sweet and such a nice colour.
  • The third is again simple and has a cute little collar.
  • The fourth is very quirky and isn't something you'd see worn by many, but I love it.
  • The fifth has a lovely design and a cute colour.
  • The final is possibly my favourite. It's so pretty and feminine. It reminds me of the dress Kate M wore after having George in 2013.

Which is your favourite?

Thanks for reading!

Eve xx

My Skin Care Routine

February 01, 2015

Haia everyone!

I hope that you're all having or have had a lovely weekend depending on when you're reading this. I've had a lovely morning, spent having a good laugh with some lovely people and now I'm feeling really happy.

Today I thought I'd share with you my daily skin care routine. It's nothing spectacular, but thought it may be useful to some of you.

I use:

Neutrogena - visibly clear blackhead eliminating cleansing lotion
T-ZONE - Skin Clearing Face Moisturiser (with tea tree & eucalyptus)
T-ZONE - Clear Out Nose Pore Strip [not used daily]

If I have time I'll firstly dampen my face using water and apply my nose strip to my nose for 10 minutes, waiting for it to harden and I will then peel it off. I don't use these daily. I normally use them when I feel as if I'm developing a blackhead army on my nose. These strips effectively grabs the blackheads (and dirt & grease) and lifts them 'clean away' and un-clogs the pores.

On a daily basis I use my cleansing lotion. It's wonderful. I apply a small amount to a small cotton pad and rub it in effectively to my t zone giving extra attention to my nose area. After doing this I will be left with some dirt (that was once on my face - ew!) on the pad, I will then decide whether I am to use a second pad or not. Normally I only need to use one pad, but if I've been especially sweaty it can take two to three before I'm feeling clean. This cleanser reaches deep down to remove the oil and dirt that is trapped in your pores.

After cleansing, it's time to moisturise! I apply a pea size amount of moisturiser to my finger and distribute it to my face, I do so evenly, but do give my nose a little bit extra. I then rub in the moisturiser thoroughly to my skin so that it's absorbed. I find that this moisturiser is very quick at absorbing and leaves my skin feeling very smooth and fresh and does not block pores!

I normally do this routine before going to bed and it leaves my skin feeling fabulous! So soft and clean!

All the products I use are very affordable and can be found in lots of the high street stores.

What's your favourite skin care product?

Eve xx
