I AM VERY, VERY SORRY FOR MY LACK OF POSTS RECENTLY. I HAVE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, BUT IT STILL MAKES ME SAD WHEN I SEE MY FOLLOWER COUNT GOING DOWN DUE TO THIS.
I HOPE THAT YOU GUYS WILL CONTINUE TO ENJOY READING MY BLOG AS THAT'S TERRIBLY IMPORTANT TO ME!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK #4

November 22, 2014

Google images
This quote was an eye opener for me, so I thought I'd better share it with my lovely blog readers.

I have to admit that recently I've been holding onto memories I've had with certain people saying to myself 'Oh I wish it could be like that again' or 'If I work hard on getting them back we could get back there' where really I need to accept that by doing this it's having a negative effect on my life.
I need to just accept it for what it is, that person has moved on, or isn't feeling like hanging around with you at the moment and you just have to let it be. You're not doing yourself any good by trying hard to impress them and trying to "win" them back.

If the person is supposed to stay in your life, then they will. You sometimes just need to be patient and stop worrying.

Not the happiest of quotes, sorry.

I'm looking forward to posting more regularly soon! Sorry for my absence!

Have a lovely day,
Eve xx

Oh life! #1

November 18, 2014

 Hi everyone,

I thought I'd start a new thing on my blog were I look back at pictures or memories in my life and pop them into a post to share with you. I think this will be great for you guys to see or learn a little about me and for me to be able to look back on.

The photos I've decided to share are ones from my holiday in Chester, 2011.  I cannot get over how young I look in these photos! haha!
At this time I was obsessed with Kate & William and everything Royal Wedding related (I bought as many newspapers/magazines with them on the cover as I could!)

I have to say I love the dress I'm wearing in the 1st photo and the one I'm wearing in the 2nd. They were both two of my favourites!

I was already modelling for 'blog' photos back then (even though I didn't really know what 'blogging' was!)

Thanks for reading!

Take care,
Eve xx

Healthy Confessions - Fitness TAG (HAIA EVE F4F#21)

November 14, 2014

Haia everyone!

I am so happy to be posting a post finally! I really mean it when I say TGIF-  what an exhausting week I've had!

Today I thought I'd do a fun little F4F post, so created a little tag!

Let's get on with it...

1. What is your favourite healthy snack?
My favourite healthy snack is probably either a juicy pink lady apple or peanut butter (whole earth peanut butter) on the 'ryvita fruit crunch crispbread'. But really, peanut butter in general! Yummy!
2. What is your favourite healthy meal?
This is very difficult. I have to say it's between a lovely Mexican salad and a thick veggie bean burger. They are both divine.
3. What is your favourite piece of gym equipment?
I like the cross trainer and the lat machine, but I really love using the fitness balls for abdominal work.
4. Who is your "fitspiration" (fitness inspiration)?
Shakira!!!!!
5. What motivates you to stay healthy/fit?
I genuinely enjoy staying fit and keeping healthy, but music really gets me in the mood. I also consider the benefits of keeping fit to keep my motivation going.
6. What do you like to do on a 'chill'/'cheat' day?
Nothing. Watch tv all day and eat cake/chocolate/biscuits/sweets/pizza/ice cream (even though I allow myself to eat those things any day) I don't tend to have cheat days as far as food is concerned, I can't really deny myself of the pleasures in life, but I do love a good chill day.
7. What is your food guilty pleasure?
Pizza. It is irresistible.
8. What is your favourite piece of fitness clothing and/or fitness brand?
I have some really nice yoga 'pants' (leggings) from Pink (Victoria's Secret), I have a great sports bra from M&S and love my Bloch shoes and Sketchers trainers. My favourite fitness brand is probably USA Pro- it has some amazing things for reasonable prices!
9. What is your current workout jam?
Dare (La La La), Dale Dale & Harden My Heart.
10. What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you while exercising?
I had a voice recording on my phone (me speaking about a topic I had to learn) and I decided I'd listen to it while I was on the bike, so I thought I'd plugged the headphones in, but realised after taking the earphones out that I'd been playing the recording out loud in the gym! haha!

And there we go!
I TAG YOU! Give it a go!

Thanks for reading!
Have a lovely weekend!

Take care,
Eve xx

When it all gets a bit too much | cutting down on posts

November 10, 2014

Hey everyone,

I hope you're all well.

I feel as if I could explode right now with the amount of work that I have to do. And this is why I'm writing this post, to be real with you lot.

I don't get stressed, but I'm feeling extremely anxious about completing all my course work to the highest standard while also passing my mock exams in december. Sadly, it's become very unrealistic for me to post EVERY OTHER DAY this month and it wouldn't be fair on me to put that pressure on myself and wouldn't be fair to you to have to read rubbish content.

I'd prefer to write 2/3 posts a week that I've actually put effort into, rather than 5 that I've spent 5 minutes writing.

I'm really hoping that in December I'll be doing BLOGmas (new post every day) which I'm really looking forward to.

I'm very sorry about this change, but I'm hoping to resume with my regular schedule as soon as is possible.

Thanks for your constant support,
Eve xx

The Fairy Tale TAG - Haia Eve

November 08, 2014

Hi everyone!
So, I was reading the lovely Jessie (allthingsbeautiful) 's 'Fairy Tale Tag' the other day and really liked it, so I thought I'd give it a go myself! Enjoy!

Snow White - Do you consider yourself beautiful?
Hmm... Like everyone (I assume) I have my good days and my bad days. On good days I think 'okay I look alright' and then on others I'm like 'oh no Eve! Today is not your day!' haha!
Sleeping Beauty - How many hours do you sleep at night?
I think I get around 7 or 8 on a week day and then about 10-11 on a Saturday!
Cinderella - Do you have a curfew?
No, but that's because I don't really go out very often. I know it sounds sad, but I'm happy enough spending my night in watching detective shows with a cup of tea!
Rapunzel - Do you love being outside?
Yes! I really like to go out and about. I adore having a stroll through my town on a weekend day and like to spend time just sitting down on a bench or walking about to take in the beauty of the outside world.
But I must admit I do love to be lazy too and stay inside watching tv in my pjs!
Red Riding Hood - Do you trust strangers easily?
Nope. I have to know someone well to be able to trust them. I think it takes some time to earn my trust.
The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids - Are you easily fooled?
In big
scenarios, no. I am quite sensible so can see through situations if they're not being portrayed accurately, but I do fall for jokes and wind ups quite easily!
Beauty and the Beast - What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?
Someone who is respectful of you and understands your feelings. The person also has to have a positive mind set.
The Little Mermaid - What would you sacrifice for love?
If I really love someone I would sacrifice all I could for them.
The Frog Prince - What do you find disgusting?
Someone scratching a blackboard. Ew!
Jack and the Beanstalk - Do you have any plants?
No, not in the house. I have lots in my garden though!
Puss in Boots - Do you have pets? If not, do you want them?
I have a cat called Honey, he's an absolute joy and full of love. I really love animals and would say I'm both a cat and dog person and not one or the other.
Bluebeard - What is your weak point?
I worry about how I portray myself. I really like to perform to my highest standard and sometimes this isn't possible.
Pinocchio - What is your biggest wish?
Currently it's to do my very best in school, to be a happy person, with positive people in my life.
Peter Pan - What is your mental age?
It depends on the scenario. I think I'm quite mature for my age in the way that I approach behaviour and situations, but there's time's where I get excited like a little child: for example, snow and christmas...Eeeek!
The Star Money - What is your most valuable possession?
Either my phone or my computer. They're both full of photos and music!
The Snow Queen - Who is your best friend and what would you do for him/her?
I have best friends of different ages. I have one my age and then 'best friends' of an older age. I do a lot for them, because I know they'd do the same for me in most cases!
The Princess and the Pea - Are you sensitive?
I'm SO sensitive! I've cried in the past if I've done bad in a little test in school! I also sob like a baby watching tv shows like 'long lost families' and films like 'The Notebook'
Godfather Death - What qualities make a good parent?
A parent has to be caring and sometimes quite selfless!
The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes - Do you like parties?
Truth being told, I haven't really been to many parties at all!
The Emperor's New Clothes - Do you care a lot about your clothing?
Um yes! I really love fashion! I have a huge interest in unique designs like H! by Henry Holland and Yumi. I'm a huge sucker for a retro dress too!
The Brave Little Tailor - Do you consider yourself brave?
I suppose so. Maybe not a year ago, but now, yes! I have gained a lot more self confidence which has led to me taking on challenges, taking risks and standing up for myself!

I tag everyone reading this! Give it a go!

Thanks for reading!

Take care,
Eve xx

E is for Eggs

November 07, 2014

Hello people! Long time, no speak! I cannot believe I haven't posted since SUNDAY!! :O! I have been SO busy this week that time has been slipping away so quickly and I haven't given myself the opportunity to sit down and write a post! Many apologies!

Today we're going to chat about EGGS!! Yipeeeeeee! haha!

The facts:
  • Eggs are a very good source of protein
  •  The egg whites have rich sources of selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals
  • Eggs have several nutrients that promote heart health
  • It's true that eggs are high in cholesterol, but they don't adversely affect blood cholesterol - eggs raise the 'good' cholesterol!
  • Eggs contain nutrients that can benefit your eye health
  • They do not risk your chance of heart disease and could reduce the risk of you having a stroke

Now today I'm going to be sharing a naughty (but not too naughty) recipe!

(Healthy) egg & chips - Who said I don't treat you?

This amazing looking recipe is available at: BBC Good Food

I'll give you an opportunity to drool over the picture before you make it for yourself:

If you don't like eggs, have the chips! hehe!

Thanks so much for reading!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Take care,
Eve xx

DEALING WITH LOSS: A YEAR ON

November 02, 2014

Hello everyone!

So a few months back I wrote a post "TTT- Dealing with the loss of a loved one" and today, on the year anniversary of my granddad's death, I thought it would be appropriate to share a post on the aftermath of losing someone. I hope you find this post useful if you're going through anything similar.

They all say that it get's easier and it's the truth, it does. To this day I miss him terribly. As do the others who's life he touched. We often share a moment where we wish he was still with us.

I'd be lying if I said that I haven't broken down in tears a few times this year. It hurts when something spectacular happens in life and he isn't here to hear about it. My life has changed so much this year, I've developed so much as a person and it hurts that he isn't here to see it.

I really miss Bamps because he always accepted me no matter what and would always find away to cheer me up, if I was feeling down his smile would automatically cheer me up.

You come to understand that how you feel is normal. And sadly, death and moving on is part of life.
Losing someone close to you really puts into perspective how lucky you are to have people in your life. It also reminds you how much of an impact the person you've lost had on your life. It absolutely breaks my heart to see my nan missing him so much, and it's so important that as a family you're there to support those hurting the most.

Even though it gets easier, that doesn't mean there'll be days where you won't feel hurt, upset or heartbroken. A year on, you're still allowed to be upset about it. Just don't let that sadness get in the way of the rest of your life, because life is moving forward and sometimes you just have to get on with it.

The big thing is: Just because they've passed doesn't mean they're no longer with you. They're always with you and the impact they had on your life will stay with you. Be thankful that they were part of your life and celebrate the memories they gave you.

JENNA LOUISE COLEMAN

November 01, 2014

HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERYONE! I hope it's brilliant for you all!

Today I wanted to talk about my latest style and hair crush: Jenna Louise Coleman, yes Clara from Dr Who.

First of all how nice is her nude outfit in the photo? It's so simple, but so effective. Her figure looks absolutely stunning in it.

I love Jenna's style on the whole, I love the dresses she's sported as Clara, as they're very cute an feminine.
I love that she always looks lovely without having to look over dressed.

Oh my goodness!! THE HAIR!!

I adore Jenna's short locks.
Her hair has been looking absolutely amazing recently. I just love the way it flows and looks so natural. It has seriously made me want to chop my hair!

So there we have it, my style and hair crush! Who's yours?

Thanks for reading!
Take care,

Eve xx
