F4F#7- Staying Motivated!

When it comes to working out and keeping it up, motivation is key.

I really think as part of F4F I should share my tips on how to stay motivated as it is a big part of building your fitness.

1. Set yourself goals.
By setting yourself goals you are giving yourself all the more reasons to keep at it. You are giving yourself an aim to work towards.
I'd advise keeping these goals realistic!

2. Take baby steps.
You can't start a realistic workout by jumping in at the deep end with no experience. You'll either hurt yourself or make the task too hard to complete. If you've only just started exercising, start with the basics (They're often very effective!)

3. Have breaks.
Over doing it will do you more harm than good. By having a rest day(s) you are giving your body time to rest, but also yourself a time to enjoy a break. 

4. Have cheat days.
Don't deny yourself of the little pleasures in life. Enjoy yourself. Just remember to balance it. 

5. Don't put pressure on yourself.
Don't make yourself feel bad if you haven't got the time or energy to workout. You can often drag yourself down to the gym, lack motivation and never wish to return. 

6. Have fun.
Find out what type of workout suits you. Experiment with different classes or different equipment and see what you enjoy most. You should have fun working out. (Varying your exercises can mean that you don't get bored of the same old routine!) 

And remember... YOU CAN DO IT!!

    1. Aw thanks so much Jess! The class with Mathew? I would've seriously passed out! I won't be there this Tuesday:( I'm going to New York! I'll be thinking of you lifting those weights though! I'll see you either in the gym soon or in muscle in two weeks!! :D xx
